How to choose the perfect Valdobbiadene DOCG La Tordera for summer: a guide to your summer toasts

(17 June 2026)

As the warmer months arrive, the desire to enjoy relaxing moments in the open air grows stronger. Whether it’s an aperitif on the terrace at sunset, a picnic amongst the vine rows or a light dinner under the stars, there’s one companion that’s always a must: the Valdobbiadene DOCG La Tordera.

With its creamy bubbles, fruity and floral aromas, and moderate alcohol content, Valdobbiadene DOCG is the undisputed king of summer.
But how do you choose the perfect one for every occasion?
Let’s find out together.

BRUNEI Brut or SERRAI Extra Dry?
Find your style!

Choosing the perfect style starts with the residual sugar content. For summer, the Brut and Extra Dry versions are the most popular, as they best capture the season’s freshness.

BRUNEI Brut: the choice for those seeking maximum freshness. With its sharp acidity and bold flavour, it’s the ideal way to beat the summer heat.

SERRAI Extra Dry:it offers a softer, rounder and fruitier profile than the Brut. It’s the perfect choice for those who love the elegance of a more enveloping sip, without ever compromising on the liveliness of the bubbles.

The versatility of Valdobbiadene DOCG La Tordera makes it a staple at special occasions. Here are a few ideas on how best to pair it:
• The classic aperitif: perfect with savoury nibbles, crostini with fresh cheeses, prosciutto, crispy crisps and battered vegetables.
• Traditional Mediterranean dishes: it pairs beautifully with summer salads enriched with fruit, raw seafood, grilled fish and light starters featuring seasonal vegetables.

Tips for serving the perfect Prosecco:
> Ideal serving temperature: 8–10°C to bring out its freshness and aromatic qualities.
> The right glass: a tulip-shaped glass to preserve the bubbles and release the aromas.

Which Valdobbiadene DOCG La Tordera will you choose for the summer?

The Birth of the First Multivintage Brut Cartizze: "85 harvest of Pietro"

But the news does not stop there. At Vinitaly 2026, we unveiled a bold project born from time and memory: "85 harvests of Pietro", the first-ever Cartizze Brut Multivintage.

Why a Multivintage? We decided to defy convention to create a Cartizze Brut that blends three different vintages (2025, 2024, 2023). This wine is a tribute to Pietro Vettoretti and his life spent among the vines. Its key characteristics include:
- depth: derived from the union of historical reserves
- experience: the result of 85 harvests lived with courage and passion
- character: a Brut profile—dry and textured—perfectly suited for fine dining

This new Cartizze does not merely tell the story of a single season, but the deep identity of a family and a hillside that never ceases to amaze.
